QUALIFICATIONS: | BOC Certification, NYS Athletic Training License, CPR/AED/FA Instructor Certification |
RESPONSIBILITIES: Including, but limited to the following |
? | Present at all required athletic events. |
? | Provide for the prevention of athletic injuries through the application of protective tapings, wraps, and braces, and assist in the design of practices to help to reduce the incidence of injury. |
? | Provide immediate care of athletic injuries and refer the athlete to medical facilities when necessary. |
? | Make final determination of a student athlete’s physical ability to return to sport following an injury subject to the decision of the team physician. |
? | Administer and maintain records of baseline concussion testing prior to each season as mutually agreed upon. |
? | Working with the school’s Health Office, manage the return to school and return to play protocol for all concussed student-athletes, as per the written authorization of the student-athlete’s physician. |
? | Review and monitor CPR and First Aid courses for all coaching candidates, making sure they are current. Preferred candidate will be a certified trainer and will be able to provide First Aid/CPR/AED training for all athletic coaches. |
? | Serve as liaison between school physician, school nurse, student-athletes, coaches, and parents. |
? | Other duties as assigned. |
SALARY: | $57,750 - $68,250 depending on experience, includes Healthcare |
